Study finds audio and video cannot coexist in classroom presentation

A recent study conducted at the University of Wisconsin-Madison concluded that both audio and video cannot coexist in any classroom presentation. The study found that no matter how many times a professor or student has used the equipment in the past, it is technologically impossible for a video to have accompanying sound or vice versa.

Researchers also discovered that using phrases such as “oh now what?” or “it was just working a minute ago” has no effect on the outcome of the phenomenon. As a result of these findings, professors and students have reduced the time spent in each class period attempting to get both components to function from six to four minutes, before giving up completely and only using the working half of the presentation.

At a recent conference announcing these findings, researchers were forced to present a narration of the study without the accompanying slideshow.
