Op-Ed: Dripping Liquids, Getting Stuffed, and Other Ways I Am Like a Thanksgiving Turkey

As the temperatures drop and the season changes, so have I. While reflecting on what I’m grateful for and how I’ve grown as a person I’ve come to the realization that I am, on all levels except physical, a turkey. How, you may ask? Allow me to enlighten you.

A go-to snack for me is nuts. It may even be appropriate to state that I gobble, gobble these nuts up. An easy source of protein, it’s the perfect brain food for motivated students alike. It’s important to make sure you’re eating enough, so you can be your best.

While it’s scientifically the fall season, it’s also flu season and unfortunately cold out so I’ve been dripping liquids. Runny noses are the worst! Make sure you take your vitamins and dress warmly so you’re not stuck dying in bed when you should be in lecture.

Another pastime as of late is getting stuffed. I’m a self-identified foodie so eating copious amounts of good food is my ideal night whether I stay in or go out. Lately I’ve been trying out all of the different types of ice cream at the Daily Scoop. It may be winter but it’s never too cold for ice cream!

I’ve also received pardons from people in positions of power. Why is it that when the Lakeshore cranes take a shit outside of a window it’s perfectly fine and normal but when I do it I “could be expelled” or “could face disciplinary action”?! Anyway, ol’ Mnooks has allowed me to stay, so roll badge!
