Phew. That was a close one.
In what was becoming dangerously close to a voiced opinion on campus, this Thursday Madison PD finally cleared out the pro-Palestine encampment on Library Mall after two whole days of protests.
The Madison Misnomer reached out to Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin for comment, who was surprisingly candid with our reporters.
“As a legal scholar I can assure you that this was a legal course of action for the university to take, and, of course, since the law allowed us to do it, I’m glad we did. Today was a big win for morals and ethics here at UW Madison. Come to think of it, we never did get around to asking what they were protesting about. Oh well.”
Fortunately for UW Madison, students will no longer be bothered by tents blocking them from cutting across the grass on Library Mall, or slightly off key chants that might be upsetting to their ears.
Happy 175th Anniversary UW Madison!
