College Republican Attends Drag Show for "Research"

Madison, Wisconsin - The Wisconsin Welcome Drag Bingo event was a hit, with a wide range of attendance and cheers of awe and excitement filling Memorial Union’s Great Hall. Seething in the corner was Grant Granten, a proud member of the College Republicans, who when approached claimed he was there for “research”. 

“I need to let the other three republicans on campus know that the university is using campus funds on this vile....”

The rest of Granten’s sentence was inaudible due to a massive cheer as one of the preforming queens did a backflip while shouting to love yourself and others. As Granten was distracted our researcher sneaked a peek at his note pad, which featured indistinguishable scribbles and a surprisingly detailed drawing of a drag queen smiling. As the event came to a close Granten whisper under is breath that “I’ll be back” and was seen leaving a light tip as he stomped into the distance.

Overall the event was a great success, for anyone who is interested in a chance to see drag performers in action and to win some bingo prizes, while supporting students’ thriving and exploration.
